It’s a tough exam, and so few people even have a CCIE certification, so why would anyone put themselves through going back and getting the second one? The reason is that there are a lot of benefits for people who do get a second certification, and here are just a few of those benefits. This means not only can you set up and modify a network, you also have the skills to protect it from outside influences that could potentially damage the network. This puts you above many other co-workers at your job.

In order to get the certification, you need to get the CCIE passing score or better. The score is 75 for the written exam, and the lab portion may vary depending on which certification you are trying for. The costs can be a lot, and it will definitely require some work on your part, but in the end if you get your second certification you’ll be able to get a dream job in your field.
