CCIE R&S Mocklabs Updated to v4

Posted by Richard McLain On October - 26 - 2009ADD COMMENTS

Today we’re releasing Mock Lab 1, Mock Lab 2, Mock Lab 3, Mock Lab 4 updated to match Cisco’s v4 blueprint. These have been significantly reworked to include a new Core Knowledge section, Troubleshooting lab, and an updated Configuration lab. We’ve increased the price for these mock labs to 199 tokens. If you have an upcoming mock lab already scheduled, we’ll have a tool you can use to upgrade to the new mock labs available in your INE members site tomorrow at no cost. You’ll still be able to schedule and take v3 mock labs for the 129 token price, however these will be eventually retired once all updates to all 7 have been completed.

For more information view the product page

To schedule a new mocklab, log into your gradedlabs.com dashboard or INE members account and launch the Mock Lab v4 scheduler.

CCIE Routing & Switching v4.0 Blueprint

Posted by Richard McLain On October - 2 - 20096 COMMENTS

All of our R&S racks have now been upgraded to match INE’s new blueprint.

Update
We try to keep our rack rentals up to date with the actual hardware used stated in the latest Cisco Exam blueprint. This year we had significant hardware upgrades in preparation for the CCIE Routing & Switching V4 Blueprint. Due to these hardware changes we have increased the base price of R&S Rack Rentals by 5 tokens. This is still a great savings compared with other rack rental companies.

We still offer dynamic pricing for your rack rental, and if you are flexible with your study time you can rent a rack after the session has started or just before the session begins.

The Benefits of Getting Your Second CCIE

Posted by Richard McLain On September - 2 - 2009ADD COMMENTS

It’s a tough exam, and so few people even have a CCIE certification, so why would anyone put themselves through going back and getting the second one? The reason is that there are a lot of benefits for people who do get a second certification, and here are just a few of those benefits. Read the rest of this entry »

Another CCIE Success Story, Congratz!

Posted by Richard McLain On August - 29 - 2009ADD COMMENTS

I was just reading over the success story posted earlier this week on http://ieoc.com, it turns out even more people are thanking the mock labs and poly-labs to their success on the actual CCIE Exam.  This is great news and we would like to congratulate Kilo on getting his CCIE.

I did the first 3 INE Mock labs and about 4 Poly labs. IMHO, your chances of passing the lab on the first time is far less if you haven’t taken the Mock labs. Not because the questions are the same as the lab, but because of the feedback you get. To be honest I was shocked the first time I saw the results of the grading, who ever marks these things plays the part of the evil proctor really well!! I had lost about 15 points on what I considered then to be “unfair” marking by the proctor. It took me a day or two to get over the whole thing! Then realised that the few dollars I spent on the Mock lab had saved me thousands in a failed “real” attempt. The proctor is able to pick up on all your little oversights! Learn from them, don’t make them again and move on :)

The Poly labs are also useful, less so because of the feedback, but because they expose you to a different style of questioning and documentation. You need to be comfortable with this when it comes to the real thing.
